Imperium Grays Harbor
On August 15, 2007, we officially opened Imperium Grays Harbor (IGH), the nation’s largest biodiesel plant. IGH has a 100 million gallon per year nameplate capacity and we produce some of the world's highest quality fuel the meets the most stringent specifications.

About Imperium Grays Harbor
IGH is capable of producing pure, unblended B100 biodiesel refined from a variety of oils; canola grown in Washington State and Canada, soy, and many other crops. Our goal is producing biodiesel at the lowest possible cost, passing our efficiencies along to our customers. Our next generation, proprietary technology produces a consistently high-quality fuel that meets or exceeds all American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) D 6751 standards and the European Standard EN 14214. When possible, we use local feedstock sources and work directly with regional farmers to develop the finest virgin feedstock oils for use in our processors. Our “farmer to fuel pump” approach and commitment to local production benefits our regional economy by keeping energy dollars within our communities.

Distribution Quality Assurance
Our commitment to excellence extends through our distribution partners, who meet rigorous standards for all fuel transportation and distribution equipment, maintaining quality control from our facility to the pump. IGH is working towards BQ-9000 status and should be certified within a few months. Our Seattle Biodiesel research facility is currently a BQ-9000 certified production facility. BQ-9000 is a voluntary quality assurance program lead by the National Biodiesel Accreditation Commission (NBAC). It is essential that all biodiesel is tested prior to sale, which is why IGH has an extensive in-house lab that participates in ASTM round robin testing.

Safe and Beneficial
Made from renewable vegetable oils, our B100 biodiesel is a non-toxic, biodegradable and safe fuel that works in any conventional diesel engine. Our biodiesel improves air quality by reducing harmful pollutants, and provides a domestically grown fuel that benefits local economies while leaving them cleaner and greener.
